***CUSTOM MOUNTAIN BIKING TOUR FOR SGS RIDERS**
Home Grown MTB is excited to host attendees of the SGS 45th Annual Scientific Meeting on April 2nd, 2019. This adventurous option will include a challenging mountain biking ride, leaving straight from the resort property, with some of the best terrain anywhere and on the finest all-mountain bikes.
Each rider will customize his/her experience by choosing a bike from our fleet of 2019 Specialized carbon full-suspension mountain bikes, including the all-new Stumpjumper with both 27.5″ and 29″ wheel sizes. Tucson riding is world renowned, and HG has the best bikes in town to make for a safe and super fun experience. In addition to being a safer option than riding a standard hardtail on this rocky terrain, HG bikes allow for progression and generally more fun.
This guided ride will include a Guide to Rider ratio of 1:5. Guides are also MTB Instructors, and will provide individuals an opportunity to push themselves (as desired) with emphasis on proper form, challenging climbs, and descents. The ride will range from 10-15 miles, given the time allotted. Expect a solid workout and epic experience, with stunning views and desert backdrop.
This ride is catered to the advanced rider. Prerequisites include:
-Ability to exercise for 2-3 hours (moderate pace with periodic rest stops)
-Advanced bike handling skills (gear shifting, braking, and balance)
-Sense of adventure

HG will provide bike, helmet, and gloves. Riders will need to bring their own bike shoes, proper attire, and hydration pack (if desired).
