LADIES MOUNTAIN BIKE SKILLS CLINIC!

HG is excited to offer a beginner friendly mountain bike clinic for the ladies only. This 3 hour clinic will provide an introduction to the skills and techniques necessary for growth in this sport. Riders will learn and practice on trail, with HG’s PMBIA Level 2 Coaches on hand to provide personalized feedback.
Content of this mini-clinic will include:
-Introduction to MTB skills and techniques
-Analyze and correct common body position errors
-Gain confidence with braking… understanding when, where, and how much to use brakes for best traction and control.
-Trail Vision and line selection for a smooth ride
-Develop the ability to lean your bike and find traction through corners
WHERE: Fantasy Island, Irvington Trailhead
WHEN: Sunday, December 22, 9a-noon
WHO: Ladies interested in learning to mountain bike or expand their skills and confidence as a newer rider*
COST: $95 per rider
PREREQUISITES: All riders are required to wear a mountain bike specific helmet and have their own modern mountain bike. Consider also bringing bike gloves, MTB shoes (or stiff soled shoes), sunglasses, and proper MTB cycling attire.

MEET THE COACHES
Tara Alcantara
Tara is a Certified Personal Trainer, Wilderness First Responder, and a trained Level 2 “Air” PMBIA Certified Mountain Bike Instructor. A professional rider with over 25+ years experience, Tara continues to push the limits on the bike. With several Downhill MTB Racing podiums under her belt, her first love is riding fast down big mountains. Favorite places of all time to ride are Retallack, Silver Star and Whistler, BC, Angelfire, NM, and Moab, UT. She has dedicated her life to riding in Tucson, spending 20+ hours per week volunteering for TORCA (local advocacy organization). Tara has traveled all over the western US to teach advanced downhill mountain biking to ladies at some of the most exclusive destinations, and for the biggest and best names in the business, including Ladies AllRide with Lindsey Richter.
Lindsay Nohl
Starting her journey in 2004 as an outdoor educator with the renowned National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Lindsay has led backpacking, rock climbing, caving, and canyoneering trips in the Rockies and desert Southwest. She has been certified as a Wilderness First Responder and in Adult & Child CPR since 2004.
In 2013, Lindsay discovered mountain biking, sparking a passion for all its disciplines: XC, enduro/downhill, gravel, and bikepacking. Certified as a level 2 Professional Mountain Bike Coach by PMBIA, she has since lent her expertise to renowned organizations like Ladies AllRide and Homegrown Mountain Bike Tours across the western US.
